Services

The decision to seek counseling services for yourself, or for a family member, is often a challenging process. Finding someone that you feel comfortable with is the first step toward an effective pathway to healing and life changes.

Sometimes the process takes only one counseling or coaching session to redirect your pathway.

Sometimes that process takes a few sessions, a few weeks, or a few months.  The point is, your pathway to healing is your unique journey.  No two journeys are the same.

Whatever your needs may be, working with you to develop a healing plan that meets your specific needs is the goal.  Everyone is different, each session protocol should be as well.

Important:  At this time, no male counselors are available.  If you would like to schedule an appointment for a male client, ages 13-18 years, with Dr. McCollum, you as a parent or guardian must remain in the waiting room during scheduled sessions.

Some counseling topics frequently serviced within the community:

  • Anxiety & Stress
  • Abuse & Recovery

What you can expect from your Intake (first meeting) appointment:

  1. A general overview of your intake and assessment of your individual needs in either counseling or coaching.
  2. A sessions plan of either short-term (usually 4-6 weeks), long-term (usually 6-12 weeks), or extended (beyond 12 weeks).

Use of scripture, prayer and other resources will be used in your session to allow you the opportunity to find healing and restoration as a whole:  body, mind and spirit. Secular counseling often focuses on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of an individual’s well-being.  The spiritual component of healing is not necessarily a focus unless you, the client requests that it be incorporated.  There are many good Christian counselors in the field, be sure to ask any questions you may have about adding that spiritual component to your healing sessions if you are seeking specifically, “Christian counseling”.

At Simply Christian Counseling, Inc. all sessions integrate different modalities of psychology and theology into your healing journey in effort to promote whole recovery.

Good Faith Estimate:

The good faith estimate (or GFE) is a notification that outlines an uninsured (or self-pay) individual’s expected charges for a scheduled or requested item or service.

Beginning January 1, 2022, if you’re uninsured or don’t plan to submit your claim to your health plan, health care providers and facilities must provide you with a “good faith estimate” of expected charges before you get an item or service. The good faith estimate isn’t a bill.

While Simply Christian Counseling, Inc. does not qualify as a health care organization, every effort to help you financially afford the counseling or coaching services will be made.
